HV Power Flow brings network drafting, equipment data, studies and exchange checks into one accessible workspace. Your utility can receive familiar PSS/E formats and validate the case in its existing environment.

01

Draw the actual network

Arrange buses, lines, transformers, loads, generators, BESS and capacitor banks on a voltage-coloured single-line diagram.

02

Model engineering data

Capture equipment ratings, impedances, controls, sequence data and dynamic characteristics in organized inspectors.

03

Study before submission

Run load flow, fault, contingency, voltage-stability and RMS dynamic studies while the architecture is still easy to change.

04

Exchange with the utility

Export the network and model records in PSS/E-compatible formats, with readiness checks that catch missing or inconsistent data.

Model the campus, not only the meter.

Represent the utility POI, redundant transformers, medium-voltage distribution, IT and UPS loads, cooling systems, standby generation, BESS and reactive-power controls in one electrical case.

01

Large-load architecture

Build redundant transformer paths, collector buses, campus loads and on-site resources around the actual point of interconnection.

02

Component load behaviour

Represent power-electronic IT and UPS load, VFD cooling fans, pumps, chillers and conventional load components for dynamic studies.

03

Ride-through and controls

Apply faults and switching events, then inspect voltage, frequency, MW and MVAr response across the campus.

04

Utility handoff

Keep steady-state, sequence and dynamic records aligned for export into the utility's PSS/E review environment.

Built for the data discipline expected in regions such as ERCOT.

ERCOT maintains a dedicated Large Load Interconnection process and publishes modelling resources for data centers and other large electronic loads. HV Power Flow helps project teams organize the network, sequence and dynamic data used in PSS/E-based review, then identify gaps before licensed validation.

HV Power Flow is not affiliated with or approved by ERCOT. Current ERCOT, TSP, DSP and utility requirements remain controlling and project-specific.

A clearer path from concept to utility review.

Keep the electrical architecture, calculations, study results and exported records tied to the same model.

  1. 1 Build

Draft the single-line and enter project equipment.

  2. 2 Solve

Run the AC power flow and review limits and losses.

  3. 3 Stress

Test faults, contingencies, voltage response and events.

  4. 4 Check

Resolve PSS/E readiness findings and missing data.

  5. 5 Export

Deliver the case package for licensed verification.

Core studies in the same model.

Run the studies commonly needed to shape an interconnection before the formal utility process locks in the architecture.

Native PSS/E exchange files for the utility's workflow.

The export package is designed to move the model into PSS/E instead of trapping it in a separate web format. Choose the target revision, run the readiness checks and hand off files the reviewer already understands.

PDF diagrams and spreadsheets explain a project. An importable electrical model lets the utility test it. HV Power Flow is built around that handoff from the first bus you place.

What to know before you submit.

Is HV Power Flow a replacement for PSS/E?

It is an accessible alternative for developing power-flow and interconnection models and preparing PSS/E-compatible files. Utilities can import and independently verify the exported case in their licensed PSS/E environment.

Which PSS/E files can it export?

The app exports RAW network files, DYR dynamic-model records, a SEQ sequence-data companion, an SLD Builder workflow and a validation package. Availability depends on the data entered in the case.

Does the utility still need to verify the model?

Yes. A qualified professional must verify the engineering, manufacturer data, assumptions, study settings and local utility requirements. The app is a modelling and exchange tool, not professional approval.

Can I bring an existing case into the app?

Existing PSS/E RAW files can be imported for continued modelling. The project workspace also preserves the app diagram layout and case data for later work.

Can it support a data-center interconnection in ERCOT?

It can be used to develop the project-side network, study the proposed architecture and prepare PSS/E exchange files and readiness data. Current ERCOT and interconnecting-provider requirements, official study models, licensed validation and professional review still apply.
